llandudno

We’re fortunate at Bryn Y Mor to be in one of the best positions in Llandudno. We are located at the foot of The Great Orme and we look onto Llandudno Pier. There is plenty to do in Llandudno and if you’re stuck for ideas or have never visited the area we have created this handy list of places you must visit.

Whether you want to take in the sights or are looking for some fun, Llandudno has it all.

Llandudno Pier

As mentioned, we are just a stone’s-throw away from the magnificent Llandudno Pier, the longest pier in Wales. Built in the Victorian era, this pier very much retains its original look. The pier is filled with souvenir shops and amusement arcades as well as funfair rides – a must visit for a classic seaside getaway.

Alice in Wonderland Trail

Discover the Alice in Wonderland Trail around Llandudno – think along the lines of an educational treasure hunt. This trail is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s famous book which itself was inspired by “Alice’s” adventures in Llandudno during her summer holidays. The trail features 55 bronze rabbit footprints which lead to sculptures of characters along the way. There is also a paper map or an app you can download too.

Llandudno Cable Cars

Another fun thing to do whilst you are in the area is to try out Llandudno Cable Cars. If you are a fan of Coronation Street you may have even seen them featured recently in one of their episodes. These cable cars are the epitome of the 1960s with their bright candy coloured cars which transport revellers on a 9-minute journey up to the Summit of The Great Orme. Whilst at the top you will be able to enjoy spectacular views over Llandudno’s Bay, the Conwy Estuary and even over the Irish Sea.

Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre

As well as the cable cars you will also find Llandudno’s Ski and Snowboard Centre in Happy Valley which features one of Britain’s longest toboggan runs. At these dry slopes you’ll also find skiing and snowboarding. There are lessons available for all abilities and ages, so it will sure be a great day for the whole family.

Bodafon Farm Park

Visiting with the kids? Visit Bodafon Farm Park which has everything from Highland cows, pigs to more exotic creatures such as chimpanzees and snow leopards. Located just off of the promenade there’s plenty to see. Better yet – it’s absolutely free too!

The list is endless, there is just so much to do in Llandudno and that’s without mentioning the surrounding areas. So why not join us at Bryn Y Mor this summer for a season of fun in sunny Llandudno.
